Anticipating the 2017 Civic Hatchback in San Antonio

The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is almost on its way to the Fiesta Honda dealership! This new Civic Hatch is brand new to the U.S. market, so naturally, it’s going to receive a lot of attention. We predict this attention won’t be short-lived though – this new hatchback owns the market in style, comfort and space. It’s truly one of a kind and we’re excited to tell you all about this new 2017 Civic Hatchback in San Antonio!

So where do we start? Well, let’s start by a quote from Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “The Civic Hatch has been a staple for Honda in Europe, but has long been the forbidden fruit for Honda fans in the U.S. Now, we’re bringing this sporty, stylish and versatile Civic Hatchback to North America, as we amp up the performance of our incredible Civic lineup with each new Civic model.”

It’s not forbidden any longer for all of you U.S. citizens! The Civic Hatch styling is European-inspired and a head-turner, for sure, with 5-doors. It will be available in 5 different trims (LX, Sport, EX, EX-L and Sport Touring) with a 1.5L 40cylinder engine with a 174 horsepower. But it’s not just a beautiful, powerful car you’re getting, it’s a fuel efficient one, too! The anticipated EPA-rated fuel economy is 31 MPG city, 40 highway and 34 combined! So you can have your cake and eat it too with this new Civic.

As far as safety goes, you’re as safe as can be as the prestigious Honda Sensing suite, which will be available on most trims. This includes top-of-the-line safety technology such as Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning integrated with Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, and Forward Collision Warning. Honda is targeting top-class safety ratings for the Hatchback like a 5-star NCAP overall vehicle rating and to be an IIHS Top Safety Pick+.

It should make sense why the 2017 Civic Hatchback in San Antonio is highly anticipated – it’s a hot commodity that combines sleek styling, comfortable tech extras and even top-of-the-line safety. Keep checking back on our site for the arrival of the new hatchback at Fiesta Honda, but in the meantime, feel free to browse all of our new cars!

The 2017 model year Fit isn’t changing as far as the exterior goes. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing considering the body style was significantly upgraded in the 2016 model year. It’s sporty and fun, which an edge of sophistication – everything you’d want in a 5-door car! All headlights and rear lights will be LED, giving it that extra luxury touch, and it has been said that the front headlights will be a slightly different shape than the previous year. As far as the interior goes, you can expect a “pocket style” which just means the available cargo and passenger space is shocking compared to what the vehicle’s size is. There’s more legroom than ever and it still comes with the Honda “Magic Seat” that allows for even more storage in this subcompact car. Upholstery is top of the line, available even in leather, and the dash controls are enlarged and easy to use and there’s an optional 7-inch touchscreen.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 6-speed CVT engine with a G-shift control. CVT helps the engine perform at its most efficient setting, resulting in better power and performance for you! The expected fuel economy rating is 29 city/36 highway MPG* which is a great number for a compact car, especially if you’re a commuter. Honda is always at the top of the game when it comes to safety, which this time around means Vehicle Stability Assist, side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor, Electronic Brake Distribution and a 5-star overall vehicle score from the NHTSA!

If you’re a current Accord owner then you know what we mean, but if not, you’re in for a treat. Not only is this new Accord an award-winner, the Accord model has been around for more than 40 years now, so you know it is perfection!

So, what can you expect in this new Accord? Well, for starters the 2017 Accord has a grille design that will make you double take when you notice the (available) LED headlights and daytime running lights. The body style is elegant and bold with angular lines and beautifully designed wheels for the perfect combination of sophistication and confidence. It’s not just the headlights that are LED, the taillights are too for 360 degrees of an eye-catching vehicle.

Aside from the exterior, you have some interior features to look forward to. The interior is completely refined to make driving the Accord enjoyable. Because safety features are really what make or break a new car decision, let’s talk about those. Honda really had the consumer in mind when designing the new 2017 Honda Accord in San Antonio, and it’s evident in the technology that was implemented. Honda created the Honda Sensing™ suite that will alert you of dangers outside the vehicle when you might not see them yourself. In addition to the Honda Sensing™ suite, there is the Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System and the Road Departure Mitigation System. To put it lightly, the Accord will keep you safe in a variety of scenarios!

Lastly, there is an Accord Hybrid option for those of you who are fuel-conscious. The Accord Hybrid gets an incredible 49/47-MPG city/highway* which really makes an impact considering competition doesn’t get more than 43 city MPG. The Accord Hybrid is making waves in the Hybrid category because not only is it fuel efficient, but it still gets 212 horsepower with the use of two motors! This is made possible by the fact that it can switch into Sport Mode for better acceleration.

2016 Dart vs. 2016 Civic in San Antonio

So many cars out there and so little time! No worries – Fiesta Honda is here to your rescue and will make your next car-buying decision a breeze. Whether its old or new, black or blue, a sedan is a great choice for a new car and we’re exciting that you’re considering it for your next ride. We’re particularly fond of two popular sedans on the road today, the 2016 Dart and 2016 Civic in San Antonio and we’re about to show you how they measure up to one another!

The 2016 Honda Civic has a few more safety features than the 2016 Dodge Dart. For example, the Civic has vehicle speed sensors and seat sensors that alert the smart airbags in the Civic to deploy with different levels of force to protect passengers of different sizes. The Dart’s airbags deploy at full force every time. The Civic also has optional Collision Mitigation Braking System and a lane departure warning system. The Dart doesn’t have either of these as an option. Both vehicles have standard driver, passenger, side-impact, and side-impact head airbags.

Worried about space in a “compact car”? The Civic doesn’t feel so compact with 39.3 inches of headroom in the front, and 37.1 in the rear seating area! Holding 5 passengers, the Civic has 97.8 cubic feet of cargo room and 15.1 cubic feet of cargo room. The Dart only has 13.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity, and its passenger volume is unlisted (which we can only assume means that it doesn’t compare).

If fuel economy and efficiency are important to you, it’s safer to go with the Honda Civic in San Antonio. Both the Civic and Dart have 2.0 4. Cylinder/Manual transmissions in the most basic mode, but the Civic gets 27 city/40 hwy MPG while the Dart only gets 25 city/36 hwy MPG*. In addition to better fuel efficiency, the Civic doesn’t require premium gas like the Dart, which can save you 20-55 cents/gallon.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – not all cars are created equal even if they are the same model year! In this case, the Civic is way ahead of the game in terms of technology and features. The Civic has front power-windows, standards power locks (which the Dart has, but costs extra), standard power remote mirrors, standard Bluetooth wireless, standard HondaLink, available front heated seats, and so much more.

It’s not hard to conclude what the better sedan out of the two is, and that would be the 2016 Civic in San Antonio! We look forward to having you in for a test drive at Fiesta Honda! See you soon!

San Antonio Sedans: 2016 Accord vs. 2016 Altima

Find yourself searching for a brand new car? Fiesta Honda is here to help! We have the 411 on all of the new San Antonio Sedans and how they measure up across the board. There may be a couple of cars you have your eye on, but start fresh with this car comparison of the new 2016 Accord and the 2016 Altima!

The Altima has nothing on the Accord when it comes to safety because the Accord has two key safety features that the Altima doesn’t offer! We’re talking about the Collision Mitigation Braking System that has high-tech mounted sensors so when a potential collision is ahead, it alerts the driver immediately so they can take action. However, if the driver doesn’t respond to the warning, the brakes are applied automatically at full-force to reduce the impact of the crash. Additionally, the Accord has Daytime Running Lights to make sure the vehicle is visible at all times of the day!

The ergonomic features that the Accord offers are also unmatched by the 2015 Nissan Altima. For example, if you aren’t always the only person in the driver’s seat of your new sedan in San Antonio, the Accord EX-L/Touring has memory seats that are activated by the keyless remote and customized to fit your most comfortable seat position. The Altima doesn’t offer this on any model. The Accord also has standard windshield wipers that auto-adjust to the amount of rainfall, that way you aren’t distracted when driving through a rainstorm!

Lastly, the Honda Accord has some important publication recognition that the Altima doesn’t have. The Accord is recommended by Consumer Reports, was named a Car Book “Best Bet” and holds 3 Kiplinger’s Awards. The Altima is not acknowledged in either the Consumer Reports or Car Book, but does have 2 Kiplinger’s Awards.

After this comparison, you might only have eyes for the 2016 Accord. That isn’t surprising because out of these San Antonio Sedans, it tops the chart in style, safety and features! Get your hands on the wheel of this award-winning Accord at Fiesta Honda today and one of our helpful associates will be happy to help you!

2016 Toyota Camry vs. 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio TX

Benson Honda is here to start from the drawing board and compare two sedans that are turning heads in store and on the road. We’re talking about the 2016 Toyota Camry and the 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio. Let’s see what each has to offer you and your family!

2016 Honda Accord Strengths

  • 1000 pounds of towing capacity (the Camry has no towing capacity)
  • Standard remote starting system for EX/EX-L/Touring so you can warm up your Accord from the comfort of your home

  • Accord Sedan Touring has standard heated front and rear seats for those extra chilly days
  • Accord is available in coupe and sedan body styles
  • The plastic fuel tank (instead of metal, like the Camry’s) can withstand more intrusive impacts without leaking and decreases possibility of fire
  • The Accord’s engine produces 10 more horsepower than the Camry allowing it to accelerate more quickly
  • Available manual transmission for better acceleration, control and fuel efficiency
  • Consumer Reports recommends the Accord and the Car Book named it a “Best Bet”
  • Apple CarPlay for EX model and above
  • Bluetooth Streaming Audio
  • One-touch moonroof

2016 Toyota Camry Strengths

  • Sport mesh front grille for a bold design
  • Camry XLE has available LED headlights
  • Wireless phone charging
  • Available power tilt/slide moonroof
  • Ten standard airbags
  • Pre-collision alert system to warn you if another object is near
  • Recommended by Consumer Reports

From our expert sedan opinion, we’d choose the 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio without hesitation. It has better features, is more reliable and a larger towing capacity than the 2016 Camry. Ready to take it for a test drive to see it’s full potential? We’re ready to see you in store at Benson Honda!

2016 Ford Explorer vs. 2016 Honda Pilot in San Antonio

If you found yourself here because you’re interested in learning more about the 2016 Honda Pilot in San Antonio, then you’re in luck! At Benson Honda, we love the 2016 Honda Pilot and want to show you how it compares to similar cars in its class, like the 2016 Ford Explorer.

Let’s start with the obvious logistics. The Pilot is more efficient than the Explorer, weighing 400-550 pounds less and 3.8 inches shorter. It’s easier to handle, maneuver and park in those tight, front spot parking spaces that you’d miss out on if you were driving an Explorer! The Pilot holds 8 people, while the Explorer only carries 7. No more taking two cars out to dinner or even on a road trip. However, if you don’t need the third row seat, that’s okay because the Pilot’s cargo capacity is larger than the Explorers by over 10 cubic ft.! No more borrowing your uncle’s truck, you can fit what ever you need in the back of your Pilot. With the second and third row seats down, you have an entire 109 cubic feet of cargo space. Do you frequently tow things? The Pilot can handle 1500 more pounds than the Explorer can, so you don’t have to worry about who’s going to tow the boat on the lake this holiday!

On top of those incredible Honda Pilot qualities and specs, you receive several extras that the Explorer doesn’t offer. These extras include a multi-angle rear view camera, Forward Collision Warning that automatically applies the breaks at full-force (something the Explorer doesn’t offer), the option for a 9-speed automatic transmission, Bluetooth streaming audio, a USB audio interface and HondaLink! The Explorer offers Bluetooth, Sirius XM at an additional cost, and MyFord Touch, which is similar to HondaLink, but less user-friendly.

The choice seems simple to us, and we hope it’s simple to you, too! You’ll get so much more in your brand new 2016 Honda Pilot in San Antonio than you could ever get in the 2016 Ford Explorer. Stop by Benson Honda today or shop our new inventory online! See you soon!

San Antonio Hybrid Car News: New Honda Hybrid Concept

Honda Concept B Hybrid

Benson Honda is here with the latest Honda news and updates, and we’re excited to introduce you to Honda’s new hybrid concept, their Concept B Hybrid. Last month, they unveiled this cool new car at the Beijing Motor Show, and, since then, Honda enthusiasts and car buffs around the world have been abuzz.

Bolder in design than anything currently in the Honda lineup, the Concept B Hybrid definitely turned heads at the Beijing Motor Show. The car’s current exterior is sporty and sleek overall with an aggressive, large front grill and an elegantly curved hatchback rear. Honda representatives at the motor show mentioned that they think the car’s unique design will be one of its greatest (and many) strengths.

The automaker didn’t release any details about the new car’s powertrain or fuel efficiency. The hybrid will have to comply with stringent Chinese fuel economy regulations. So, we definitely think it will save its owners on gas and do the environment a favor.

As of now, Honda only has plans of releasing the new hybrid vehicle in the Chinese market. They’ve announced that they anticipate it to arrive to Chinese dealerships in two years. We hope Honda will consider adding this awesome new car to the North American lineup!

Benson Honda will keep you in the loop about the latest Honda concepts and general Honda news. So, check our blog often for the latest and greatest updates from the world of Honda!
