Experience the Thrill of the 2016 CR-V in San Antonio TX

It’s time for you to get an SUV upgrade! May we offer some assistance with your new car decision? We have tons of new SUVs on the lot, but one has consistently impressed not only the Fiesta Honda employees, but our customers, too! With unbelievable fuel economy, features, power and more, the CR-V beats out competitor SUVs in several ways. Let’s take a dive into the details of how the 2016 Ford Escape doesn’t stand a chance next to the 2016 CR-V in San Antonio!

Firstly, let’s start with safety. The 2016 CR-V has multiple safety features that make it top of the chart in safety! Things like the Standard Collision Mitigation Braking System – a system in which uses forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision keep the whole family safe. Not to mention that the CR-V will brake automatically at full-force to reduce force of the crash if driver does not respond to the warning, preventing many accidents. You’ll also get a standard rearview camera in the CR-V! All of these elements contribute to the5-star driver crash safety rating in the NHTSA front crash test, 4-star passenger crash safety rating in the NHTSA front crash test and 5-star front seat side impact rating in the NHTSA side impact test. The Ford Escape does not include some of the safety features tat the CR-V does, earning it a lower score on crash tests.

Now let’s touch on technology. The 2016 Honda CR-V has top-of-the-line safety features that make it stand out amongst other SUVs, like the 2016 Escape. The CR-V has one-touch power windows, smart entry keyless remote (standard on the EX/EX-L and Touring), a standard locking fuel door with remote release, a built-in pollen filter and adaptive cruise control. Like the safety comparison, the Escape can’t keep up!

The Escape also can’t keep up when it comes to power. The CR-V has a whopping 185 horsepower while the Ford Escape just barely holds its own at 182 horsepower. We can’t forget to tell that even with more power, the CR-V gets better fuel economy with 25 in the city and 33 on the highway*. The Escape on the other hand gets just 22 city/32 highway.

As you can see, the 2016 CR-V in San Antonio clearly beats out the Ford Escape. And we don’t want to brag, but the CR-V has also won more recognition like being an IIHS “Top Safety Pick Plus” (the Escape is only a standard “Top Pick”), and it’s recommended by Consumer Reports. Make the smart decision and go with the new CR-V from Fiesta Honda! We know you won’t be disappointed!

New SUVs in San Antonio: 2016 CR-V vs. 2016 Rav4

Summer is just around the corner, a perfect time to road trip of the many new SUVs in San Antonio! With so many options to choose from, how do you know what SUV is right for you? Fiesta Honda is here to help you out with that decision. We’ve compiled some research on a couple of SUVs with the goal of showing you which one comes out as your ideal vehicle. Let’s look at the differences and similarities between the 2016 CR-V and the 2016 Rav4!

Is safety a #1 priority for you? The CR-V EX/EX-L/Touring has standard HondaLink Assist, which means it has a unique GPS system to alert emergency crews to come directly to the scene when airbags deploy. The Rav4 does not have this capability, which would delay help if you were to be involved in an accident. In addition to this helpful feature, the CR-V also has better safety ratings! With a 5-star overall rating in the NHTSA crash test, the CR-V can’t possibly get any safer. The Rav4 only has a 4-star overall safety rating.

In addition to safety, the CR-V has better fuel economy than the 2016 Rav4. This 185 horsepower SUV gets 26 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway*. With only 176 horsepower and 24 city/33 hwy MPG*, the Rav4 doesn’t quite keep up with the CR-V. Bottom line? You can have power and efficiency in the CR-V! How cool is that?

Finally, the CR-V has features that make the drive overall more comfortable than it would be in the Rav4. The telescoping steering wheel is much better than the Rav4’s tilt steering because it allows a short driver to sit further form the steering wheel while still maintaining contact with the pedals. Also, in the CR-V Touring, memory seats are an ultra convenient feature when you have multiple drivers regularly. The final feature worth noting is the CR-V’s adaptive cruise control. Unlike traditional cruise control (like what the Rav4 offers), the adaptive cruise control adjusts to the speed of the vehicle without the driver having to. That’s a major plus if you’re a frequent driver!

Out of these two new SUVs in San Antonio, the CR-V reigns superior! Can you see yourself cruising the streets in a new 2016 CR-V? We surely can and would love for you to stop by Fiesta Honda today for a test drive!

2016 Nissan Rogue vs. 2016 Honda CR-V in San Antonio TX

We’ve talked sedans and minivans in the last few comparisons, and now Benson Honda is moving on over to SUVs! SUVs are becoming one of the most reliable car out there, and not to mention their effort in becoming more fuel efficient is proving successful. If you’re looking for something safe, reliable and stylish, we’re here to uncover which one is for you! Today we’re comparing the 2016 Rogue and the 2016 Honda CR-V in San Antonio.

Starting with safety, one of these SUVs stands out and that would be the 2016 CR-V! The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) conducts several studies for safety, including a front crash prevention system test. The CR-V’s Collision Mitigation Braking System was rated “Superior” with 5-point score, while the Rogue scored only 1 point and rated as “Basic.” In the NHTSA 35 MPH crash test, the CR-V took away a 5-star overall rating while the Rouge fell short with only 4-stars. This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the CR-V was a “Top Pick Plus” for safety in 2015, when the Rouge was only a standard “Top Pick” in 2015.

What’s the point of having an SUV if you can’t be the most powerful on the road? The CR-V’s 2.4 DOHC 4 cylinder engine cranks out 185 horsepower, and can go from zero to 60 MPH in just 8.5 seconds! The Rouge, you ask? With only 170 horsepower, it takes a minimum of 9.1 seconds to reach 60 MPH. The CR-V proves to be mightier.

If you have several passengers with you the majority of the time, or even if you just like having a little extra room in your vehicle, the CR-V beats out the Rogue on this aspect, too. The CR-V has more cargo area with the rear seats folded, and even has a switch to automatically lower the rear seats! No more pushing, pulling and breaking a sweat just to get that rear seat to lower. The Rouge only has manual seat lowering, so putting that seat up and down will constantly be a feat. It’s a win-win situation in the CR-V!

Is it as obvious to you as it is to us? The 2016 Honda CR-V in San Antonio blows the 2016 Rogue out of the water! With higher safety ratings, more power and roomier cargo and passenger space, the CR-V is the way to go. Head on over to Benson Honda for a test drive in this incredible SUV!

2015 Nissan Rogue vs. 2015 Honda CR-V in San Antonio

Checking out crossover options? Crossovers provide the maneuverability of a compact car with the strength of an SUV. You really can’t go wrong! Well, that’s not entirely true-not all crossovers are created equal, so don’t cheat yourself out of the very best option! Today at Benson Honda we’re taking an in-depth look at a couple of crossover options on the market: the 2015 Nissan Rogue and the 2015 Honda CR-V in San Antonio.

When it comes to engine performance, the 2015 CR-V has the 2015 Rogue beat. The CR-V’s 2.4 DOHC 4 cylinder produces 15 more horsepower than the Rogue’s 2.5 DOHC 4 cylinder engine. This could contribute to the CR-V going zero to 60 MPG in just 8.5 seconds! (Compared to the Rogue’s 9.1 seconds.) Despite the quicker acceleration, the fuel economy is about the same between the CR-V and Rogue. According to the EPA, the 2015 Honda CR-V in San Antonio gets 27 city/34 hwy* while the 2015 Nissan Rogue in San Antonio gets 26 city/33 hwy*.

You shouldn’t buy a car without top-of-the-line safety, so let’s talk about the safety ratings. After the NHTSA front crash test, the CR-V left with an overall 4-star rating, but the Rogue only received 3-stars. In the same test, the CR-V received 5-stars for the driver and 4-stars for the front passenger while the Rogue received 3-stars for the driver and a lowly 2-star rating for the front passenger. In the NHTSA side impact test, both vehicles received a 5-star rating overall. Because of it’s near-perfect safety ratings, the CR-V was granted a “Top Pick Plus” by the IIHS for 2015 while the Rogue was only named a “Top Pick” for 2015.

In addition to being a “Top Pick Plus” for safety, the Honda CR-V is known for its reliability standards. Consumer Reports predicts that the CR-V will be 22% more reliable than the Rogue. And, did you know that Honda is ranked 8th in initial quality while Nissan is ranked 19th? That’s a pretty big gap!

Lastly, both crossovers are fairly equal when it comes to the fun extras. You’ll enjoy standard Bluetooth wireless, an audio system with color display screen, back-up camera and keyless remote entry/vehicle start in either the CR-V or the Rogue! One cool feature that Honda offers that Nissan doesn’t is Honda HD Digital Traffic that alerts you of current traffic conditions and guides you the quickest and least congested way.

Looks like if you want the top crossover today, you’re better off going with the 2015 Honda CR-V in San Antonio. Think so too? Come see us at Benson Honda and we will be more than happy to get you in the driver’s seat!
