HondaVAC Commercials Showcase Industry-First Feature

2014 Odyssey HondaVAC Ads

Implemented in the 2014 Honda Odyssey, the HondaVAC is an industry-first feature. It works just like it sounds. It’s an in-car vacuum system located in a back storage compartment which makes it much more convenient to clean up after the kids. Gone are the days of putting 50 cents into those sticky-hosed vacuums at the car wash. The HondaVac is even capable of running for a period of eight minutes when the engine is off. As this is a feature that can only be found in the 2014 Honda Odyssey, the manufacturer is really pushing out the advertisements for it. We don’t have a problem with that because most of the 2014 Odyssey HondaVAC ads are pretty entertaining.

Thanks to Twitter, the HondaVAC commercials are gaining some recognition on YouTube. The commercials have called on two popular actors to voice some of the random junk normally found on the floor of a minivan. Rainn Wilson, more commonly known as Dwight Shrute from The Office, voices the red gummy bear in the commercial above. Neil Patrick Harris, or Barney on How I Met Your Mother, plays a lint ball with Fruit Loop eyes in one of the other commercials. It was a great decision by Honda to have these actors voice the commercials, as they both have some large Twitter followings. Both linked to their commercials from their Twitter, and have brought the view count for both videos over 100,000 in just three weeks.

This next commercial features the HondaHAIR. It’s a fake product, but it makes for a hilarious commercial. You almost start to believe that this is real.

While the HondaHAIR doesn’t really allow for haircuts on the go, the HondaVAC could definitely clean up all the hair on the floor of the minivan after a cut. However, we don’t really know why you would be cutting your hair in your minivan.

The HondaVAC currently comes standard only on the Touring models of the 2014 Honda Odyssey. Stop touching those nasty hoses at the car wash and get the HondaVAC in your minivan today.
