Honda Family Vehicle Options
It seems the world is catching on to the Honda family vehicle options. When sales were tallied for May, it was found that the Honda CR-V, Pilot and Odyssey all posted outstanding numbers. It’s really no surprise, as these three models represent the versatility that many families need around the country. Here at Benson Honda, we’ve seen a similar increase in interest in these models.
As for specifics, the Honda family vehicle options all saw significant sales gains. The CR-V was up 8.4%, the Pilot up 11.3% and the Odyssey up 15%. This also makes sense for this time of year, as families need vehicles that can handle a generous amount of cargo and passengers for the summer.
“Looks like American families are preparing for summer road trips as our family-friendly light truck lineup posted the best May sales in Honda history,” said VP of Sales at American Honda John Mendel.
Let’s break down what each model offers for consumers in cargo/passenger space.
The Honda CR-V has a large rear cargo area and has rear seats that are 60/40 split folding to allow it to conform for different passenger and cargo capacities. It does this while also offering an impressive 31 MPG on the highway.
The Honda Pilot offers a larger rear area as well that is accessible with a full tailgate with lift-up glass hatch. The second and third-row seats are also split-folding so the Pilot can either carry a large amount of cargo or passengers – or even a combination of both.
The Honda Odyssey is going to bring to the market what you might expect with a minivan – and then some. The seating rows slide around easily to provide the ideal seating and cargo structure for families. And they are removable as well if you need to go full cargo mode with your van.
