Honda’s American-made investment continues

Honda American made
Honda keeps moving forward!

For everyone that loves products that are made in America (who doesn’t?), this one is for you. Honda recently announced that the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid will be built right here in the US of A. Obviously, this will add even more jobs in the country and give Honda yet another home-built automobile in the lineup. At Benson Honda, being able to sell American-made products is something that gives us great pride as a San Antonio Honda dealer.

As for the car itself, the Honda Accord Hybrid will be one of four different powertrain options that will be available in the 2014 Accord lineup. The car will feature one of the new Honda Earth Dreams engines that have been getting a lot of press lately. It will be a 2.0-liter iVTEC four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine that will be paired with a 124-kilowatt electric motor. The combination of the two should make for one impressive hybrid in the market.

The 2013 Honda Accord in San Antonio also features an Earth Dreams engine. The options on the current car are either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter six-cylinder. Both of these engines were named to the Ward’s 10 Best Engine list for 2013. It’s pretty obvious that the Earth Dreams technology has huge potential in the industry.

When it comes to the Accord, the current version is outstanding – and we are excited for even more to come in 2014. There will be a plug-in hybrid in addition to the hybrid model mentioned above. Honda is setting itself up for big things in the future – and we’re more that excited to be along for the ride here at Benson Honda!
