This holiday season, wear red and go green with the 2012 Honda Civic Natural Gas.
The car was recently named the Green Car of the Year at the Los Angeles Auto Show – a big accomplishment for the fifth generation vehicle – and at Benson Honda, the leading Honda dealer in San Antonio, TX, we can’t keep the news to ourselves.
“This, to Honda, is everything,” said Michael Accavitti, the vice president of marketing for American Honda Motor Company. “Environmental awareness is right in our wheelhouse.”
The Civic Natural Gas, which was first introduced in 1998, gets 38 miles per gallon on the highway. Its gas tank can be filled at home, and a tank of compressed natural gas can last for about 240 miles. Even with the big benefits for the environment and your wallet, the Civic Natural Gas comes with a small price tag.
“The Civic Natural Gas is not only a great vehicle, it also demonstrates Honda’s commitment to provide a variety of alternatives to gasoline,” Accavitti said.
It is the only assembly-line produced natural gas passenger model manufactured for sale in the U.S., and natural gas is almost exclusively domestically sourced. Natural gas costs about 30 percent less than gasoline.
“There is no other vehicle like the Civic Natural Gas on American highways, and this recognition has been a long time coming for Honda,” said Rob Cogan, the editor of the Green Car Journal.
Judges included representatives of green groups like the Sierra Club, Natural Resources Defense Council and Global Green USA.
It’s never been a better time to be a part of the Honda family, so come over to Benson Honda, the premiere Honda dealer in San Antonio, TX, today and take any of our new or used Hondas out for a test drive. You just might decide it’s time for an early Christmas present to yourself!
