The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s best-possible overall vehicle score or five stars has been given to the all-new 2011 Honda Odyssey. The Odyssey is one of the first two vehicles ever to earn all five stars in all of the seating positions for every crash test, crash test category and the overall rating.
Very few vehicles have achieved the federal government’s best-possible overall vehicle score and five stars in the combined frontal and side crash safety ratings, but Honda has now scored twice with the Odyssey and the Accord.
The Overall Vehicle Score is a new system that is a part of the federal government’s New Car Assessment Program which is being applied to 2011 models. An overall score is a combined score from frontal crash tests, side crash tests and rollover-resistance.
The 2011 Honda Odyssey Sedan received five stars in the following categories, overall vehicle rating, overall frontal crash safety rating for male and female, overall side crash safety rating for all of the seats, and rollover rating.
The 2011 Odyssey offers higher fuel economy than previous models, as well as a more unique style. The new 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine features Variable Cylinder Management which comes standard with every 2011 model. The new V-6 can produce 248 horsepower and an EPA estimated fuel economy of 19mpg city and 28 mpg highway.
A rear entertainment system that offers a 16.2 inch ultra wide split-screen display along with HDMI video input is available on certain models of the 2011 Odyssey. Other upgrades are available on certain models, and Benson Honda can make sure you go home with the one that is perfect for your family and your budget.
Designed, engineered and assembled in the United States in Alabama, the Honda Odyssey is unarguably an American Made Vehicle. Benson Honda is proud to offer this safe, fun and well-built vehicle in our lot.
